kerrith livengood

Kerrith Quigley Livengood is in the third year of a Ph.D. program in composition and music theory at the University of Pittsburgh, where she has studied with Amy Williams and Mathew Rosenblum, and is currently studying with Eric Moe. Originally from Springfield, Missouri, Kerrith started her career in flute performance and eventually discovered composition as her true musical calling. To date she has composed primarily chamber music and art songs, often selecting unusual instrumentation and experimenting with the combination of text and electronics. Her latest work, enchanted days for chamber ensemble, was completed for her Master's degree and was premiered by the IOnSound Project in April of 2007. Kerrith is alia musica's flutist and the president of the Pitt SCI chapter, and can be contacted at daisystomper(at)gmail.com.
