Julia Ann Scott has been the principal harpist of the Westmoreland and Butler Symphonies for the past ten years, and is a new faculty member of Grove City College. While a Fullbright Scholar in Ecuador, she was principal harpist with the National Symphony Orchestra of Quito, and was sponsored by the American Embassy in various concerts throughout the country.

She earned her Artist Diploma in 1997 from Duquesne University, and her Masters in Music in 1994 from Indiana University in Bloomington, graduating from each summa cum laude. She has played as a substitute with the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra since 1995, and performs regularly throughout Pennsylvania, Ohiom and West~Viriginia.

Julia is President of the Pittsburgh chapter of the American Harp Society and maintains a private teaching studio.
