julieta ugartemendia, clarinet

Julieta Ugartemendia has enjoyed a prolific career as a clarinetist, performing in such prestigious arenas as Carnegie Hall in New York City, Carnegie Music Hall and Heinz Hall in Pittsburgh. She received her Bachelors of Music and Music Education at the Beethoven Conservatory in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Upon moving to the United States, she completed the Performance Residence Program at Carnegie Mellon University, and an Artist Diploma at Duquesne University.

Currently she is the clarinetist, singer, and musical director of the local band Tangueros de Ley. She teaches at the Hope Academy of Music and the Arts, Sound Color Productions Studio, and Johnstonbaugh's Music Center in Gibsonia, among others.
